Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye…

Hey there! This is my final post for the term, and I have so much to say about this course. Let’s dive in.

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this course. On the bright side, it was great to see how AI and technology in general can be used in teaching, and I feel more confident experimenting with it now. However, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The assignments were often overwhelming, and the workload made it hard to actually enjoy the process.
What was easy? Brainstorming creative wasn’t a struggle since we did the assignments as groups. But finding ways to integrate technology into tasks without it feeling forced was another story. It felt like we spent more time wrestling with tools than focusing on the learning experience itself.

My favourite task? Probably the one where we created AR/VR integrated material. It was more enjoyable because we got to choose our favourite city and did research on it. My least favourite? Definitely this blog assignment! Writing about what I didn’t enjoy isn’t exactly my idea of fun.
Suggestions for improvement: Less focus on overcomplicated and time consuming tasks and more guidance/examples would help.

For anyone taking this course next year: Form groups with people you get along and who are willing to contribute to the project. I was lucky about that. It gave me a glimpse of how I might use AI in the future, even if I didn’t love every minute of it.

Thanks for sticking with me this term—see you around!
