My first ever digital story!

Hello everyone, it’s been a while right? I hope you are enjoying the spring. Today I’m here to tell you about an assignment I had: Creating a digital story. It was a pair work so I’ll leave the link of my friend’s blog just in case you want to check it as well. About the assignment, it was definitely an interesting one. I can say that it’s been quite a bit since I used this much creativity for a homework. Our story was about two queens who are sisters and have completely different characteristics and a wise dragon. Here it is:

We wanted to maximise the use of technological tools so we created the voice-overs with ai. It wasn’t very easy but I’m glad that we got to know new tools and successfully utilised them to our use. And they were all free! Even though doing a lot of editing across different platforms was a bit annoying we made peace with our final product. I think if I could spare more time I would enjoy it more. However, even though I enjoyed creating a digital story, I don’t think that it would be much effective to use it in an ESL classroom. It consumes a lot of time and doesn’t really contribute to language learning process. There are many other digital activities that are more efficient. Nevertheless, I’m sure there might be some occasions where it would be useful so I’ll try to keep it in mind as an option.

What do you think about it? Have you ever created a digital story before? Let’s meet in the comments!
